How to use Liftory from ChatGPT

Connect Liftory to ChatGPT and ask in plain words: build a plan, review your workouts, answer your coach. Coaches can check on their clients the same way, and ChatGPT asks before it changes anything.

Liftory's ChatGPT plugin is in review by OpenAI. Once it is listed, you find it by searching "Liftory" in ChatGPT's Plugins.

Highlights

Add Liftory in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open Plugins, search for Liftory and add it. Then select Connect.

Allow access on Liftory's own page

Connect opens a Liftory page that names the account ChatGPT will use: "ChatGPT wants to use Liftory as" and your email. It lists what ChatGPT will be able to do: read and change your training plans and see your workouts, read and change your nutrition plans, and read your conversations and send messages. If you coach, it can also read and change your clients' training and nutrition plans and see their workout history, so only connect if your clients agreed. Select Allow and you are back in ChatGPT, which confirms that the Liftory plugin is installed.

What to ask as an athlete

Describe the plan you want, for example three full-body days a week with dumbbells only and about 45 minutes a session. ChatGPT shows you the days and asks before it saves the plan, as a draft or as the plan you follow now. You can also ask it to review your current plans and recent workouts, to read and answer messages from your coach, or to put a PDF plan from your coach into Liftory.

What to ask as a coach

Ask for the clients you coach, with their recent activity and adherence. Ask what plan a client is on and how their last 30 days of workouts went. Have ChatGPT build a plan for a client or digitize one from a PDF, and ask it to summarize your unread messages without replying.

Nothing changes without your OK

Before any change, such as saving or activating a plan, changing a menu, or sending a message, ChatGPT asks "Allow ChatGPT to use Liftory?" and you choose Deny, Allow once, or Always allow. ChatGPT acts as you and reaches only what you can reach in Liftory. For a coach, that means only the clients who currently give you coaching access.

Disconnect at any time

In the Liftory app, open Settings, then Connected assistants, and select Disconnect next to ChatGPT. Access stops within a minute.
